PER CURIAM On the recommendation of the Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct, we hereby accept the voluntary surrender, in lieu of probable disbarment proceedings, of the license of James Scott Brown, of Leawood, Kansas, to practice law in the State of Arkansas. Mr. Brown was indicted on the felony charge of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud in an extensive fraudulent financial scheme in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. In his amended petition to surrender his law license, filed with this court on June 19, 2011, Mr. Brown stated that he wishes to avoid the expense, stress, and publicity of a formal disbarment proceeding. The name of James Scott Brown shall be removed from the registry of licensed attorneys, and he is barred and enjoined from engaging in the practice of law in the State of Arkansas. It is so ordered.
