Now before us are two motions filed by petitioner Jessie Hill pertaining to a petition for writ
of mandamus filed in this court on June 10, 2008. The petition asked this court to direct the trial
judge below to act on a postconviction matter filed by petitioner. On June 24, 2008, petitioner filed
a motion to hold the petition in abeyance, and on June 30, 2008, petitioner filed a motion to
withdraw the mandamus action. The latter motion is granted, thereby rendering moot the motion to
hold the petition for writ of mandamus in abeyance.
