§ 180. George Scott Day

Each year Monday of Fire Prevention Week shall be known and designated as George Scott Day in the Virgin Islands. Appropriate ceremonies may be held in all public, private and parochial schools in the Virgin Islands on George Scott Day. Such ceremonies may include assemblies, dramatizations, skits, plays and/or guest speakers with the theme “Fire Prevention, Fire Hazard, Fire Fighting”, centered around George Scott and his unselfish service and supreme sacrifice in the protection of his community's safety. The Commissioner of Education shall be responsible for reproducing and disseminating photographs and biographical data about George Scott to all private, public and parochial schools.
