216.375 Long-range strategic plan requirement -- Technical assistance -- Office of Rural Health. (1) (2) (3) By January 1, 1996, all acute-care hospitals which meet at least one (1) of the following criteria shall have long-range strategic plans: (a) A reported acute-care occupancy rate in the six (6) months prior to March 16, 1992, which is less than thirty percent (30%); or (b) A reported acute-care average daily census in the six (6) months prior to March 16, 1992, which is less than twenty (20) patients. On request of the hospital, the University of Kentucky Center for Rural Health Excellence shall provide technical assistance to the hospital in the development of the long-range strategic plan on a shared-cost basis. The Governor shall designate an entity to serve as the Office of Rural Health for the Commonwealth. This office shall report to the Legislative Research Commission, no later than October 1, 1993, on the status of strategic-planning activities. Effective: March 16, 1992 History: Created 1992 Ky.
