Case No. 20020169-CA

F I L E D
March 14, 2002 2002 UT App 78 -----

Original Proceeding in this Court

Attorneys:
Louis A. Gallegos, Provo, Petitioner Pro Se
Brent M. Johnson, Salt Lake City, for Respondent -----

Before Judges Bench, Orme, and Thorne.

PER CURIAM:

Petitioner has filed a document entitled "Writ of Mandamus" in this court. Petitioner has wholly failed to comply with any of the requirements governing a petition for extraordinary relief as set forth in Rule 19 of the Utah Rules of Appellate Procedure. He has not included a statement of the issue presented and of the relief sought. See Utah R. App. P. 19(b)(2). He has not presented a statement of the facts necessary to an understanding of the issues presented by the petition. See Utah R. App. P. 19(b)(3). He has not stated any reason why no other plain, speedy, or adequate remedy exists and why the writ should issue. See Utah R. App. P. 19(b)(4). He has not attached copies of any order or part of the record that may be essential to an understanding of the matters contained in the petition. See Utah R. App. P. 19(b)(6). Petitioner has not included a memorandum of legal authorities in support of the petition. See Utah R. App. P. 19(b)(7). Petitioner has simply failed to direct us to anything that would support a grant of extraordinary relief.

Due to petitioner's failure to comply with the requirements of Rule 19 of the Utah Rules of Appellate Procedure, it is impossible for this court to adequately evaluate any of his claims. The petition is denied.
