1999 UT App 331
-----
Second District, Ogden Department
Honorable Michael D. Lyon
Attorneys:
Michael G. Jensen, Draper,
Appellant Pro Se

Before Judges Greenwood, Bench, and Orme.
PER CURIAM:
A notice of appeal must be filed "with the clerk of the trial court within 30 days after the date of entry of the judgment or order appealed from." Utah R. App. P. 4(a). The judgment from which appellant seeks to appeal was entered on August 2, 1999. Thus, the deadline for filing an appeal under the rule was September 1, 1999. The notice of appeal was not filed until September 7, 1999, more than thirty days after the entry of judgment. Because appellant's notice of appeal was not timely filed, we have no alternative but to dismiss the appeal for lack of jurisdiction. See Varian-Eimac v. Lamoreaux, 767 P.2d 569, 570 (Utah Ct. App. 1989).
The appeal is dismissed.
