In re: AMENDMENT TO THE RULES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF OKLAHOMA ON LEGAL INTERNSHIP Rule 7, 5 O.S. 2001, Ch. 1, App.- 6.

ORDER

Rule 2.1(a) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Oklahoma on Legal Internship, 5 O.S. 2001, Ch. 1, App. 6 (the Rule), currently provides in pertinent part:

The law student applicant must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for a Limited License:

(a) Have successfully completed forty-five (45) academic hours in a law school program leading to a Juris Doctor Degree. The forty-five hours must include the following courses: Professional Responsibility, Evidence and Civil Procedure I & II. A law student may apply when he or she is enrolled in courses which upon completion will satisfy this requirement.

On an Application to Amend the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Oklahoma on Legal Internship, the Rule is hereby amended to provide in pertinent part:

The law student applicant must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for a Limited License:

(a) Have successfully completed half of the number of academic hours in a law school program leading to a Juris Doctor Degree required by the American Bar Association Accreditation Standards. Those hours must include the following courses: Professional Responsibility, Evidence and Civil Procedure I & II. A law student may apply when he or she is enrolled in courses, which upon completion, will satisfy this requirement (see Interpretations 98-2 and 2002-1).
