19.2-378. Sale of property liable to deterioration, etc.

If the property seized under the warrant be perishable or liable todeterioration, decay, or injury by being detained in custody pending theproceedings the court or the judge thereof may order the same to be sold uponsuch notice as he in his discretion may deem proper and hold the proceeds ofsale to abide the event of such proceedings, or if such property may bestored without deterioration, decay or injury, the court in its discretionmay order the same to be stored pending final outcome of the proceedings.
