19.2-369. Information to be filed by attorney for Commonwealth.

If any statute provides for the forfeiture of any property or money, or ifany property or money be seized as forfeited for a violation of any of theprovisions of this Code, and a different mode of enforcing the forfeiture isnot prescribed, in order to enforce the same the attorney for theCommonwealth for the county or city wherein the forfeiture was incurred shallfile in the clerk's office of the circuit court of his county or city aninformation in the name of the Commonwealth against such property or money byname or general designation.
