76-15-3. Definition of terms.

A. "Fruit," as used in this act [76-15-1 to 76-15-9 NMSA 1978], means apples, pears and peaches produced in the state of New Mexico.

B. "Person" means an individual, firm, corporation, association or other business unit.

C. "Grower" means any person engaged in the raising, care and picking of fruit for market.

D. "District," as used in this act, shall mean any county within the state wherein the growers have organized, as provided herein.

E. "Marketing order" means any order regulating the marketing, or grading standards of fruit, or both, issued by the director, to carry out the intents and purposes of this act, with the recommendation and approval, or approval, of the board of directors of any district.
