2005 Washington Revised Code RCW 70.96B.070: Detention period for evaluation and treatment. (Expires July 1, 2008.)

If the evaluation and treatment facility, secure detoxification facility, or other certified chemical dependency provider admits the person, it may detain the person for evaluation and treatment for a period not to exceed seventy-two hours from the time of acceptance. The computation of the seventy-two hour period excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
