56-476.1. Gratuitous undertaking to sound fire alarms.

Where any telegraph company has assumed, without compensation, theundertaking to sound any fire alarm, in cooperation with the governing bodyof any town, city or county or the fire department thereof, such companyshall not be liable in any proceeding growing out of the performance ornonperformance of such undertaking.
