55-138. Recordation of decrees affecting title to land.

The clerk of the court wherein there is any partition of land under any orderor decree, or any recovery of land under judgment or decree, shall transmitto the clerk of the court of each county or city in whose office deeds tosuch land or any part thereof are recorded, a copy of such order, judgment,or decree, and of such partition or assignment, and of the order confirmingthe same, and along therewith such description of the land as may appear inthe papers of the cause. And the clerk of the court of such county or cityshall record the same in his deed book, and index it in the name of theperson who had the land before, and also in the name of the person who becameentitled under such partition, assignment or recovery.
