46.2-751. State-owned passenger vehicles.

Except as provided in subsection B of 46.2-750, the Commissioner shall notissue any license plates for use on vehicles owned by the Commonwealth or anyof its departments, institutions, boards, or agencies and used for passengertransportation unless written application has been filed with the Governorshowing the necessity for the use and unless the Governor has directed theCommissioner to issue the license plates.
