46.2-658. Regular operation other than for pleasure.

Except as provided in 46.2-657, a nonresident owner of a foreign motorvehicle, trailer, or semitrailer which is regularly operated in theCommonwealth, or from a point or points outside the Commonwealth to a pointor points within the Commonwealth, or from a point or points within theCommonwealth to a point or points outside the Commonwealth, or through theCommonwealth, for purposes other than purposes of pleasure, shall, unlessotherwise provided in this chapter, register such vehicle and pay the samefees therefor as are required with reference to like vehicles owned byresidents of the Commonwealth. Any owner who operates or permits to beoperated one or more of these vehicles either simultaneously or alternatelyas often as four times in any one month shall be considered to be regularlyoperating them in the Commonwealth.
