46.2-620. Period of validity of certificate of title.

Every certificate of title issued under this chapter shall be valid for thelife of the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer so long as the owner towhom it is issued shall retain legal title or right of possession of or tothe vehicle. Such certificates need not be renewed except on a transfer oftitle or interest of the owner.
