46.2-2802. Board to employ executive director.

The Board shall employ an executive director who shall serve at the pleasureof and report to the Board. He shall direct the affairs of the Board and keeprecords of all proceedings, transactions, communications, and official actsof the Board. He shall be custodian of all records of the Board and performsuch duties as the Board may require. The executive director shall call ameeting of the Board at the direction of the chairman or upon written requestof three or more Board members. The executive director, with approval of theBoard, may employ such additional staff as needed. The annual salary of theexecutive director shall be no greater than Level II of the ExecutiveCompensation Plan contained in the general appropriations act.
