46.2-1187.3. Vehicles used for investigations.

Motor vehicles owned by the Commonwealth and used solely for investigationspursuant to this article may be issued the same license plates as thoseissued for vehicles owned by private citizens. The Executive Director shallcertify under oath to the Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehiclesthe vehicles to be used solely for such investigations.
