46.2-1125. Maximum tandem axle weight, generally.

The tandem axle weight of any vehicle or combination shall not exceed 34,000pounds, and no one axle of such tandem unit shall exceed the weight permittedfor a single axle. Furthermore, the weight imposed on the highway by two ormore consecutive axles, individually attached to the vehicle and spaced notless than forty inches nor more than ninety-six inches apart, shall notexceed 34,000 pounds and no one axle of such unit shall exceed the weightpermitted for a single axle.
