38.2-4100. Fraternal benefit societies.

Any society, order or supreme lodge without capital stock, including oneexempted under the provisions of subdivision 6 of subsection A of 38.2-4135of this chapter, conducted solely for the benefit of its members and theirbeneficiaries and not for profit, operated on a lodge system with ritualisticform of work, having a representative form of government, and providingbenefits in accordance with this chapter, is hereby declared to be afraternal benefit society.
