38.2-4001. Society may be incorporated.

Any existing burial society licensed and operating in this Commonwealth thatis an unincorporated association may be incorporated under the provisions ofArticle 3 ( 13.1-818 et seq.) of Chapter 10 of Title 13.1 and, except asotherwise provided in this title, shall be subject to all the generalrestrictions and shall have all the general powers imposed and conferred uponsuch corporations by law. All burial societies shall be under the supervisionand control of the Commission.
