38.2-3100.1. Forms of insurance authorized.

A. Life insurance and annuities shall be issued only in the following forms:

1. Individual life insurance and annuities; or

2. Group life insurance and annuities.

B. Pursuant to the authority granted by 38.2-223, the Commission maypromulgate such regulations as may be necessary or appropriate to governinsurers' practices with regard to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS)or presence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), including advertisingpractices, underwriting practices, policy provisions, claim practices, orother practices with regard to individual or group life insurance andannuities, delivered or issued for delivery in the Commonwealth of Virginiaand certificates or evidences of coverage, issued under any contractdelivered or issued for delivery in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
