2006 Code of Virginia § 38.2-2626 - Obligation of reimbursement insurance policy insurers

38.2-2626. Obligation of reimbursement insurance policy insurers.

A. Insurers issuing reimbursement insurance to providers are deemed to havereceived the premiums for such insurance upon the payment of provider fees bycontract holders for home service contracts issued by such insured providers.

B. This article shall not prevent or limit the right of an insurer thatissued a reimbursement insurance policy to seek indemnification orsubrogation against a provider if the issuer pays or is obligated to pay thehome service contract holder sums that the provider was obligated to paypursuant to the provisions of the home service contract.
