38.2-1714. Stay of proceedings; reopening default judgments.

All proceedings in which the insolvent insurer is a party in any court inthis Commonwealth shall be stayed sixty days from the date an order ofliquidation, rehabilitation, or conservation is final. This will allow timefor proper legal action by the Association on all matters germane to itspowers and duties. The Association may apply to have the judgment under anydecision, order, verdict, or finding based on default set aside by the samecourt that made the judgment and shall be permitted to defend against thesuit on the merits.
