38.2-1443. Investment of amounts allocated to separate accounts forvariable life insurance and variable annuities.

The amounts allocated to separate accounts for variable life insurance andvariable annuities, pursuant to the provisions of 38.2-3113, andaccumulations on them, may be invested and reinvested by a domestic insurerin any type of Category 1 investment. Any percentage limitations based onthe insurer's total admitted assets or surplus to policyholders shall notapply to investments made pursuant to this section.
