38.2-1362. Examination authority.

The acts of a managing general agent are considered to be the acts of theinsurer on whose behalf it is acting. A managing general agent may beexamined pursuant to Article 4 ( 38.2-1317 et seq.) of this chapter as if itwere the insurer. In addition, the managing general agent shall be subject toexamination pursuant to 38.2-1809 if it or any of its officers, directors,agents, or employees is licensed as a producer under Chapter 18 ( 38.2-1800et seq.) of this title.
