33.1-200.1. Removal of snow from driveways of volunteer fire departmentsand rescue squads.

The Department of Transportation shall remove snow from the driveways andentrances on the roads under the jurisdiction of the Department ofTransportation of volunteer fire departments and volunteer rescue squads whenthe chief of any individual volunteer fire department, or the head of anyindividual volunteer rescue squad, makes a written request for such snowremoval service; provided that such service shall only be performed when suchservice can be performed during the normal course of snow removal activitiesof the Department of Transportation without interfering with, or otherwiseinconveniencing, such snow removal activities; provided further, that suchservice shall not extend to any parking lots adjacent to such driveways andentranceways not normally used by the volunteer fire department or volunteerrescue squad vehicles as their direct driveway or entrance.
