33.1-12.01. Fees for participating in the Integrated Directional SignProgram.

In addition to the duties set forth in 33.1-12 of the Code of Virginia, theCommonwealth Transportation Board shall establish reasonable fees to becollected by the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner from any qualifiedentity for the purpose of participating in the Integrated Directional SignProgram (IDSP) administered by the Department of Transportation or its agentsthat is designed to provide information to the motoring public relating togasoline and motor vehicle services, food, lodging, attractions or othercategories as defined by the IDSP. Such fees shall be deposited into aspecial fund specifically accounted for and used by the Commissioner solelyto defray the actual costs of supervising and administering the signageprograms. Included in these costs shall be a reasonable margin, not to exceedten percent, in the nature of a reserve Fund.
