29.1-218. Defense of game warden prosecuted on criminal charge.

If any game warden appointed by the Director is prosecuted on any criminalcharge arising out of any act committed in performing his official duties,the Director may employ special counsel approved by the Governor to defendthe officer. The compensation for special counsel employed pursuant to thissection, shall, subject to the approval of the Governor, be paid out of thefunds appropriated for the administration of the Department.
