29.1-213. Taking samples of water believed to be polluted.

Any game warden appointed under the provisions of this title may, and shallwhen requested by a member of the governing body of a county, city or town,take samples of water from any stream in this Commonwealth when he has reasonto believe that the water may be polluted. Any game warden collecting anywater sample shall take the sample in a clean container, seal it, and send itto the State Water Control Board. With the sample, the game warden shallenclose a signed statement showing in reasonable detail the time and place atwhich the sample was taken. The warden shall keep the original of thestatement and send the copy with the sample.
