27-96. Statewide standards.

The purposes of this chapter are to provide for statewide standards foroptional local enforcement to safeguard life and property from the hazards offire or explosion arising from the improper maintenance of life safety andfire prevention and protection materials, devices, systems and structures,and the unsafe storage, handling, and use of substances, materials anddevices, including fireworks, explosives and blasting agents, whereverlocated.
