24.2-413. Accessible registration locations.

The office of the general registrar, and each agency, business, andestablishment set for registration pursuant to 24.2-411.1, 24.2-411.2 andsubsection B of 24.2-412 shall be accessible as required by the provisionsof the Virginians with Disabilities Act ( 51.5-1 et seq.), the VotingAccessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act (42 U.S.C. 1973ee etseq.), and the Americans with Disabilities Act relating to public services(42 U.S.C. 12131 et seq.). The State Board shall provide instructions tothe Department of Motor Vehicles, state-designated voter registrationagencies, local electoral boards and general registrars to assist them incomplying with the requirements of the Acts.

In the selection of additional registration sites as provided in 24.2-412,consideration shall be given to accessibility so that a reasonable number ofaccessible sites are provided and the requirements of the above cited Actsare met.
