22.1-242. Publisher to provide bond.

Each contract made by the Board with the publisher of textbooks shall beaccompanied by a bond with good and sufficient surety in the penal sum of notless than $1,000 nor more than $20,000. Such bond shall be approved by theBoard and shall be conditioned upon the performance by the publisher of allof the terms and conditions of the contract and payment of liquidated damagesas provided for in 22.1-243 and any damage in excess thereof which may beproved to be sustained by reason of the violation of such terms andconditions.
