22.1-217.01. Information on educational and other services for studentsidentified as hearing or visually impaired.

The Department of Education shall annually prepare and distribute to localschool boards packets of information describing the educational and otherservices available through the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind atStaunton, the Virginia School for the Deaf, Blind and Multi-Disabled atHampton, the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and theVirginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired to students who areidentified as hearing impaired or visually impaired. Local school boardsshall annually distribute this information to the parents of those studentswho are identified as hearing impaired or visually impaired.
