22.1-204. Study of accident prevention.

In one or more of the elementary or secondary grades of every school divisionthere shall be provided a course of study including elementary training inaccident prevention, in proper conduct on streets and highways, in theoperation of motor vehicles as required by the traffic laws of thisCommonwealth, and in ways and means of preventing loss of lives and damage toproperty through preventable fires. Such course shall be required of everypupil completing the course of study in any such grade.
