2006 Code of Virginia § 19.2-308.1 - When sentence may run concurrently with sentence in another jurisdiction

19.2-308.1. When sentence may run concurrently with sentence in anotherjurisdiction.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in the event that a person isconvicted of a criminal offense in any court of this Commonwealth and suchperson has also been sentenced to imprisonment for a term of one year or moreby a court of the United States, or any other state or territory, and, at thetime of sentencing in this Commonwealth, is incarcerated in a federal orstate penal institution, the court may order the sentence to run concurrentlywith the sentence imposed by such other court.
