18.2-54.1. Attempts to poison.

If any person administers or attempts to administer any poison or destructivesubstance in food, drink, prescription or over-the-counter medicine, orotherwise, or poisons any spring, well, waterworks as defined in 32.1-167,or reservoir of water with intent to kill or injure another person, he shallbe guilty of a Class 3 felony.
