15.2-2108.5. Preliminary public hearing; feasibility consultant.

A. Before a municipality may engage or offer to engage in an activitydescribed in subsection A of 15.2-2108.4, the governing body of themunicipality shall hold a preliminary public hearing at which any interestedparty may appear and be heard.

B. If the governing body elects to proceed after holding the preliminarypublic hearing required by subsection A, the governing body shall approve thehiring of a feasibility consultant to conduct a feasibility study inaccordance with 15.2-2108.6.
