10.1-603.17. Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection Assistance Fundestablished.

The Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection Assistance Fund is herebyestablished and set apart as a permanent and nonreverting fund. The Fundshall consist of any moneys appropriated by the General Assembly, fundsreturned by localities or other public or private sources in the form ofinterest and repayment of loan principal, deposits pursuant to 38.2-401.1,all income from the investment of moneys held in the Fund, and any other sumsdesignated for deposit in the Fund from any source public or private,including without limitation any federal grants, and awards or other forms ofassistance received by the Commonwealth that are eligible for deposit in theFund under federal law. Any moneys remaining in the Fund at the end of thebiennium including any appropriated funds and all principal interest accrued,interest and payments shall not revert to the general fund.
