10.1-1431. Authority of Board to enter into agreements with federalgovernment, other states or interstate agencies; training programs forpersonnel.

A. The Board, with the prior approval of the Governor, is authorized to enterinto agreements with the federal government, other states or interstateagencies, whereby the Commonwealth will perform, on a cooperative basis withthe federal government, other states or interstate agencies, inspections orother functions relating to control of low-level radioactive waste.

B. The Board may institute programs to train personnel to carry out theprovisions of this article and, with the prior approval of the Governor, maymake such personnel available for participation in any program of the federalgovernment, other states or interstate agencies in furtherance of thischapter.
