9.1-112. Committee on Training; membership.

There is created a permanent Committee on Training under the Board that shallbe the policy-making body responsible to the Board for effecting theprovisions of subdivisions 2 through 16 of 9.1-102. The Committee onTraining shall be composed of thirteen members of the Board as follows: theSuperintendent of the Department of State Police; the Director of theDepartment of Corrections; a member of the Private Security Services AdvisoryBoard; the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia; two sheriffsrepresenting the Virginia State Sheriffs Association; two representatives ofthe Chiefs of Police Association; the attorney for the Commonwealthrepresenting the Association for Attorneys for the Commonwealth; arepresentative of the Virginia Municipal League; a representative of theVirginia Association of Counties; a regional jail superintendent representingthe Virginia Association of Regional Jails; and one member designated by thechairman of the Board from among the other appointments made by the Governor.

The Committee on Training shall annually elect its chairman from among itsmembers.
