5.1-24. Penalties.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter, or violating anyof the rules or regulations promulgated pursuant thereto by the Board, exceptas otherwise specifically provided, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanorand upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100 orimprisonment in jail not exceeding one month, or both, in the discretion ofthe judge or jury trying the case; provided, that any person (excepting anygovernment, political subdivision of the Commonwealth, or governmentalsubdivision or agency) establishing or operating an airport without firstobtaining a permit as provided in 5.1-8 shall, upon conviction, be finednot less than $100 nor more than $500 for each offense, and each day that theairport is operated without such permit shall be construed as a separateoffense.
