3.1-989. Falsification or presealing of weight certificate by licensedweighmaster; delegation of authority to unlicensed person.

Any licensed public weighmaster who falsifies a weight certificate, or whodelegates his authority to any person not licensed as a licensed publicweighmaster, or who preseals a weight certificate with his official sealbefore performing the act of weighing, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor andupon conviction shall be punished by a fine in any sum not less than $50 ormore than $500 or by imprisonment for not less than thirty days or more thanninety days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
