3.1-796.85. Unlicensed dogs prohibited; local ordinances for licensing cats.

A. It shall be unlawful for any person to own a dog four months old or olderin this Commonwealth unless such dog is licensed, as required by theprovisions of this article.

B. The governing body of any county, city or town may, by local ordinance,prohibit any person from owning a cat four months or older within suchlocality unless such cat is licensed as provided by this article.
