3.1-796.126:7. Civil penalties.

Any animal control officer, humane investigator, releasing agency, the StateVeterinarian or State Veterinarian's representative shall be entitled tobring a civil action for any violation of this article that is subject to acivil penalty. Any civil penalty assessed pursuant to this article shall bepaid into the treasury of the city or county in which such civil action isbrought and used for the purpose of defraying the costs of local animalcontrol, including efforts to promote sterilization of cats and dogs.
