3.1-796.04. Commissioner to arrange for and manage referendum; notice to beposted.

The Commissioner shall arrange for and manage any referendum conducted underthis chapter. The Commissioner is directed, sixty days before the date uponwhich a referendum is to be held, to mail notice to the clerk of the circuitcourt in each county in which poultry is produced. The notice shall containthe date, hours and method of voting in such referendum, the amount ofassessment to be collected, the means by which such assessment shall becollected, the general purposes for which the assessments will be used, andthe rules and regulations adopted by the Board pursuant to 3.1-796.06. Theclerk of the circuit court shall post the notice and rules and regulations onthe front door or public bulletin board of the courthouse and certify theposting to the Commissioner.
