3.1-11. Appointment of State Chemist.
The Commissioner shall appoint a qualified person to be known as the StateChemist. Such person shall be the chief chemist of the Department and hisduties shall be such as are prescribed by law or by the Commissioner. Hissalary shall be such as may be provided in accordance with law for thepurpose.
