3.1-1039. Action of Governor if a simple majority of voters favorassessment.

If the Governor finds the referendum in order and that at least a simplemajority of those voting are in favor of the assessment for the purpose ofconducting programs in market development, education, publicity, research andthe promotion of the sale and use of corn, he shall so proclaim and establishwithin the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services aVirginia Corn Board as defined in 3.1-1043.
