2.2-2018. Project planning approval.

A. Prior to proceeding with any major information technology project, anagency shall submit to the Division a project proposal, outlining thebusiness need for the project, the proposed technology solution, if known,and an explanation of how the project would support the agency's businessobjectives and the Commonwealth's information technology plan. The projectmanagement specialist may require the submission of additional information ifneeded to adequately review any such proposal.

B. The project management specialist shall review the proposal and recommendits approval or rejection to the CIO.
