2006 Code of Virginia § 2.2-1161 - Buildings not in conformance with standards for persons with physical disabilities

2.2-1161. Buildings not in conformance with standards for persons withphysical disabilities.

The Division, upon a determination that a building or facility is not inconformance with the applicable standards for persons with physicaldisabilities, shall immediately take all necessary steps to ensure suchbuilding or facility is in conformance within three months of the date of itsdetermination. The three-month period may be extended for an additionalminimum period of time required to obtain funding and complete construction,where the Division determines an extension is necessary. This section shallapply only to those state buildings or facilities designed, constructed orsubstantially modified after July 1, 1977.
